A Fresh New Challenge

I'm working on a new poem, one I've been working on for some time. It will be the longest poem I have ever written, and it's quite an interesting challenge. It's about an angel, and I think it has some deep, thought provoking material.

It's name is "Epic of the Angel: Man's Blindness", and I'll post it as soon as I can get around to it. . . Or maybe I'll post it to you in pieces, it IS long. :-) Well, I'm off to work on my poem, so, see you. :-D

Personality Poem

In my speaking class, everyone was asked to write a "Personality Poem" which is essentially describing yourself using an acrostic for your first name and putting it into poem format. We were allowed to write them in any format we liked, and it didn't HAVE to rhyme, but you know me. ;-) Anyway, I thought I'd show you what I wound up with:


Personality Poem: Aaryn

An author, a singer, an artist, a friend,

A girl who says thirteen’s not too old for pretend.

Reading, running, or just playing a game,

Yes, I find something to do, in sun or in rain.

Not much now, but someday I will be, creating, exploring, and just being me.

November Ramblings

I'm still working on my Poem notebook. Or, to be more specific, working on forcing myself to start working on it. So, no poem for today.
Also, some friends are coming tomorrow to stay with us for a little bit, so that should be fun. :D But, I might not come on in a while.
Not that I do anyway. T-T
Of course, no one besides my parents comes here, so I don't think it matters. . . . . .then again, if someone else DID come here, I'd never know. Maybe I should do a poll to find out how many people come here. . . .but no one, not even my parents voted in the last poll I did, so I don't think I'll bother. I'll just keep posting and hope someone with nothing to do glances at my site. I don't think my parents even come on anymore. I'd show it to my friends but. . . .wait, what's my excuse, anyway? I WILL show it to my friends! There! Now I'm happy again!

Finally, a New Song!! ;)

I haven't been on lately,but it's not cuz I've been busy, or cuz I've been up to my neck in Doctor Who DVDs and books, ok, yeah, I've been both, but the reason I haven't been on is there just hasn't been anything to talk about. Nothing. No new songs, no poems, no funny stories that I wanted to tell you. (although there were quite a few I didn't want to tell you) But now I have something. A new song. It's not quite finished yet, and, as always, I can't show you the tune, but here's what I have so far:

Poem

I wrote another poem/hymn, (it has a tune, but I can't show you that) yesterday, and I wanted to share it. Well, here it is:

Prayers for God's Grace

My prayers,
Go with you,
With,
Love that will stay true,
In all that I do,
I will think of you,
My prayers,
Go with you,
Praying you'll stay true,
In all that you do,
May Christ be with you,
So that your paths are true,
And in all that you should do,
May your heart be too.

May your feet walk on paths of grace,
Your heart filled with love,
In every place,
May you know,
Your faith is enough.

And as you run,
Life,
This race,
My prayers go with you,
As does God's grace.

God Moving

Lately I've just felt inspired. It's like God has been moving closer to me, pulling me to Him and wispering in my ear. He's been using dreams in particular to touch me. One thing after another, dreams where He speaks to me. I feel so insired. I've written quite a few poems and songs lately, and I'll leave you with one song of mine to read, for whatever it's worth. Well here it is:

Where you never shed a tear,
Where you can sleep through the night without fear,
Where loved ones and those held dear,
Are always safe and near.

That is where I'm going!
I'm on my way and I'm not slowing!
