Christ the Lord is Risen Today!!!

Happy Easter!!

When you wake up on Easter, what do you think about?
If you're a kid, like me, the first thing on your mind is what's in the basket, right?

Well, that's not how it's supposed to be. Think about it. Jesus died on a cross for our sins. Then, three days later, He rose again, so that we could have everlasting life in Him if we would only follow Him. It's a free deal, no strings attatched. Give your life to Jesus, (who can make it TOTALLY better, anyway) and you are His child, FOREVER. No strings attatched.

So, what's better? Eggs filled with candy? Or THIS?

You decide.

Poem

I wrote another poem/hymn, (it has a tune, but I can't show you that) yesterday, and I wanted to share it. Well, here it is:

Prayers for God's Grace

My prayers,
Go with you,
With,
Love that will stay true,
In all that I do,
I will think of you,
My prayers,
Go with you,
Praying you'll stay true,
In all that you do,
May Christ be with you,
So that your paths are true,
And in all that you should do,
May your heart be too.

May your feet walk on paths of grace,
Your heart filled with love,
In every place,
May you know,
Your faith is enough.

And as you run,
Life,
This race,
My prayers go with you,
As does God's grace.

Temptation: Two Sides of the Story

Ok, last post I talked about how close I've felt to God lately, but that's only one side of the story, and I feel like I owe it to you to give the whole story. As is often the case, just as God has been growing nearer, the Devil's temptations have been growing stronger. Day after day I find I have to turn to God just to find the strength to go on doing His will. And He is always faithful. No matter how many times I fall, how many times I push Him away saying, "I don't need you" He is always there to pick me back up and hold me in His arms. I am so blessed to have a Savior who cares for me after all I've done, who loves me and forgives me no matter how many times I fall, and who is always loving and compassionate. God is, indeed, as my favorite song says, 'mighty to save'.

God Moving

Lately I've just felt inspired. It's like God has been moving closer to me, pulling me to Him and wispering in my ear. He's been using dreams in particular to touch me. One thing after another, dreams where He speaks to me. I feel so insired. I've written quite a few poems and songs lately, and I'll leave you with one song of mine to read, for whatever it's worth. Well here it is:

Where you never shed a tear,
Where you can sleep through the night without fear,
Where loved ones and those held dear,
Are always safe and near.

That is where I'm going!
I'm on my way and I'm not slowing!
