Hawk

I was on a walk with my sister and her oldest daughter, and we saw all sorts of things. Most notably, we saw a hawk.

It was at the local soccar field, sitting on the very top of one of the goals, staring at us.

We scared it, though, and had to leave. On our way back from the park, it was there again, with another.

This time they let us get very close to them -suprisingly enough, since my niece was bouncing around and being rather loud.

We were only a few feet away from them when we turned back for fear of scaring them.

I think they live nearby, so I'll try to go and see them again. Maybe next time I can get a picture of them, I'll certainly try.

Color

Lately, it's seemed so bleak. Not that it isn't pretty, winter is my favorite season. But sometimes I wish it were just a little more colorful. I miss the flowers, and the bugs, (but NOT the gnats) I just miss the color of it all. So, here's what comes of a girl dreaming of more color.

Is It Really Over?

Sorry, that I haven't been on in a while, but with all the Holidays I've been busy. First Christmas, then my Birthday, (I'm thirteen now! :D :D :D ) then New Years. And when that was all over, it was a rush for me to play with my friend as much as possible before school starts back. Well, now it's back, and we're trying to get back into the regular routine.
Not so easy with Mom sick, and me getting sick. Especially since I'm homeschooled, and thereby my only teacher is now sick. But we're making do, with me mostly sticking to the subjects I don't need so much help with - we'll catch up on the rest later.
Hope you enjoyed the holidays, if you ask me it feels like they shouldn't be over yet!

November Ramblings

I'm still working on my Poem notebook. Or, to be more specific, working on forcing myself to start working on it. So, no poem for today.
Also, some friends are coming tomorrow to stay with us for a little bit, so that should be fun. :D But, I might not come on in a while.
Not that I do anyway. T-T
Of course, no one besides my parents comes here, so I don't think it matters. . . . . .then again, if someone else DID come here, I'd never know. Maybe I should do a poll to find out how many people come here. . . .but no one, not even my parents voted in the last poll I did, so I don't think I'll bother. I'll just keep posting and hope someone with nothing to do glances at my site. I don't think my parents even come on anymore. I'd show it to my friends but. . . .wait, what's my excuse, anyway? I WILL show it to my friends! There! Now I'm happy again!

Finally, a New Song!! ;)

I haven't been on lately,but it's not cuz I've been busy, or cuz I've been up to my neck in Doctor Who DVDs and books, ok, yeah, I've been both, but the reason I haven't been on is there just hasn't been anything to talk about. Nothing. No new songs, no poems, no funny stories that I wanted to tell you. (although there were quite a few I didn't want to tell you) But now I have something. A new song. It's not quite finished yet, and, as always, I can't show you the tune, but here's what I have so far:

Bundles of Homework, Bundles of Energy, and. . . .Doctor Who. . .?

I haven't posted in quite a while, and that's been due to a few things. One, Co-op has started. For those of you who don't know what Co-op is, it's when a bunch of homeschoolers (I love being homeschooled) get together once a week and have classes. Every parent that brings their kid/kids has to teach at least one class, so it's a group effort. It's really fun, and I get to see all my friends. But this year I have General Science, so I have a lot of homework. Which is kind of redundant seeming if you ask me, since homeschoolers are supposed to do ALL their work at home anyway, aren't they? Oh well. . .and, also, we had to go to my Sis's house to watch my nieces. Well, I say had to, but I wanted to. I love those two. The oldest is three and the little one is seventeen months and they are gifts from God. So, between bundles of homework and bundles of energy, I've been just a bit busy. Ok. Let's face it. I had free time. I could have posted instead of spending all that time watching Doctor Who in the guest bedroom. I am such a little sci-fi geek. Oh well. Lolz. Well, just meant to pop in and say sorry for being gone so long, but looks like I've got a full-grown post on my hands. Oh well. See you later!
